s Food Truck. Tucked just off of Route 12, this little donut paradise is serving up some of the Outer Banks’ best vegan donuts and oat milk lattes — and trust us, it’s worth the stop. Honestly, we live about an hour from Buxton, and I'd absolutely make the trip with Roots & Leaves Food Truck being the primary destination!

Let’s talk donuts first. Handmade, 100% vegan, and seriously delicious. Whether you’re into classic chocolate glaze, cinnamon sugar, or sprinkles that sparkle in the morning sun, Roots & Leaves has a rotating lineup that keeps things fun.

My favorite are the chocolate covered and glazed donuts, but I love to get a dozen to try them all and sometimes twice!

They use Oatly oat milk for all their lattes, flat whites, and cortados — so it's creamy, smooth, and totally dairy-free.
