Don't let the name fool you – Ocracoke Oyster Company has some surprisingly good vegan options and a great vibe! A quick walk from our AirBnB "The Cabanas" we were super happy with the venue! I enjoyed a tasty Beyond Burger served on a fresh house salad (skip the non-vegan bun). The sidewinder fries were a real winner - perfectly crispy! Plus, their drinks were fantastic – the blueberry mojito was delicious, and the margarita was outstanding! (I wanted to sample a couple of options - you're welcome )

Other potential vegan sides include onion rings, applesauce, the vegetable of the day, and black beans & rice. When we visited, the vegetable of the day was green beans unfortunately in a butter sauce. As always, confirm ingredients and preparation with your server.

Adding to the fun was a live band - Raygun Ruby - playing awesome 80s hits from the likes of Tom Petty, The Cars, and Blondie, making for a really fun atmosphere with dancing!

For a casual meal with tasty vegan choices, fantastic drinks, and a nostalgic soundtrack, Ocracoke Oyster Company is a solid bet.
